1. About Our Trips and Guides

What's included in the price?

Everything except international flights and visas. We include local transportation, accommodations, meals as per the itinerary, excursions, park entrance fees and activities, travel insurance, and continuous accompaniment by two expert guides throughout the trip.

How many guides accompany us and what languages do they speak?

You always travel with two guides (one local and one Portuguese or bilingual) who are with you 24/7. They speak four languages: Portuguese, Spanish, English, and French.

Are the groups large?

No. We work with small groups (maximum 8-12 people). This allows for a much more personal and authentic experience.

2. Comfort Level and Accommodation

Do we always stay in hotels?

Not always. In cities, we use simple but clean hotels or riads. In the desert, on safari, or in the mountains, we spend some nights in tents or authentic camps. Comfort is moderate to low: we prioritize the authentic experience over luxury.

What are the showers and bathrooms like?

In camps and rural areas, bathrooms and showers are usually shared. In hotels, they are private. We accept these minor inconveniences because they are part of an authentic adventure, more real than mass tourism tours.

What kind of meals are included?

Typical and flavorful meals. We often eat in local restaurants or camps with traditional cuisine. It's not international hotel food, but the real food of the region.

3. Physical Demand and Health

Is it very physically demanding?

The demands are moderate and easily manageable for active people. It includes daily hikes, safaris, and some climbs (Kilimanjaro is the most demanding). It's not extreme mountaineering.

Can I get altitude sickness?

It's possible on Kilimanjaro and in the highlands of Morocco or the Sinai Peninsula. Our guides manage the group's pace and are prepared. Most symptoms disappear within 24-48 hours with rest and acclimatization.

Do I need a first-aid kit?

Yes. Upon registration, we will send you a recommended list. Our guides also carry a complete first-aid kit.

4. Destinations and Experience

What sets Nomade Horizon apart from other agencies?

We offer more authentic trips. We visit places frequented by locals, sleep in genuine camps, eat where they eat, and avoid mass tourism. It's adventure with complete safety thanks to our two permanent guides.

Are there nature activities every day?

Yes. All our itineraries include days of excursions in the desert, national parks, safaris, or mountains.

5. Booking and Practicality

What means of transportation do we use?

We use scheduled economy class flights, 4x4 vehicles, minibuses, local boats, or any means that is comfortable and suitable for the destination. Transportation is always chosen to be as practical as possible so you can enjoy your trip.

Can I extend my trip?

Absolutely! If you'd like to add extra days (for example, in Zanzibar, Marrakech, Dahab, or Sharm el Sheikh), please let us know in advance so we can arrange hotels, transfers, and offer you the best possible price.

How do I register?

On each trip page, you'll see the available dates. Click "Book Now" or write to us directly at nomadehorizon@outlook.com.

Is registering one month in advance enough?

We recommend registering at least 2-3 months in advance, especially for Kilimanjaro and safaris during peak season, to guarantee availability and better flight prices.
