1. The Deserts of NoMade Horizon Black and White Desert

   One of the most surreal landscapes on the planet. The White Desert looks like a sea of chalk sculptures carved by the wind, while the Black Desert has dark mountains covered in volcanic dust a striking contrast. In our itinerary, we include a full night in this surreal setting. We explore the white rock formations by 4x4, watch the sunset in the Black Desert and sleep under an incredible starry sky.

   
   

What to wear:

• During the day: light, pale clothing, long sleeves to protect from intense sun.( med. 35°C).

• At night: several layers (can drop below 5°C). A warm jacket and beanie are essential.

  
  

What to bring:

• Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses.

• Wet wipes / extra toilet paper + hand sanitizer (toilets are basic).

• Small daypack (for water, sunscreen, torch, etc.).

• Extra water and snacks (the desert is very dry).

  - Tents are double or triple -

General tips for the Black and White Desert

• Always bring a small daypack and a larger bag for the travel. Plenty of water, hydration is very important.

• Layered clothing is key (the desert changes temperature a lot between day and night).

• Avoid pure cotton (it takes a long time to dry). Prefer technical or merino materials.

• Don’t forget: power bank, adapters, basic medication, moisturiser and lip balm.
